Our Service
Our pastor leads us in a Call to Worship, which usually consists of a short reading from the Bible through which we orient our hearts to worship God. There is a time of prayer and Bible reading, with a few hymns/songs. Our pastor then delivers a sermon based on the Scripture reading and at the end we sing again joyfully together. We enjoy having communion together twice a month, usually at the end of the Service. The Service usually lasts about an hour, and there are tea and biscuits in the main foyer afterwards.

Children:
Discipling our children is very important to us at QEC. Before the main church service, we have a Sunday School for half an hour, starting at 10:00am for children aged 3-11. Once the service starts at 10.45am, our children remain in the service as we believe that it is vitally important for families to worship God together. Children learn to worship God from a young age as they imitate their parents. There are usually fill-in-the-blank sermon notes for the children to follow along with during the sermon. If needed, we do have a training room from which the sermon can be heard through a speaker. Please ask for details when you arrive.

Youth Work:
Scripture is clear that the primary burden for discipling the next generation falls on the shoulders of fathers, with mothers heavily involved. At QEC, we seek to help fathers with that primary task and to help families to grow up together into maturity in the Lord, sharing the good news of Jesus with children as they grow.
In addition to Sunday School, we have a monthly "Evening Out" event for whole families, to which we invite our friends and family to enjoy various feasting, festivities, music and culture. On these evenings, we get together to enjoy ourselves. We call it fellowship - it is a special kind of friendship. You would be most welcome to join us. Please see the What's On page for more details.
